Technical problem on cpanel3 server

We are aware that this server has stopped responding. Our technicians are working to fix this problem as quickly as possible.

01:05 Technicians at our datacentre are currently looking into the problem. We are waiting for more information from the technicians.

04:30 Our datacentre technicians have advised us that there is a fault with one of the hard disk drive partitions. We are working to repair this as quickly as possible. We appreciate your patience as we fix this problem.

06:10 This problem with the hard disk drive partition is fixed. We are waiting on a disk integrity check to complete on the hard disk and then the server will come back online.

07:30 The disk integrity check has finished. The server is now rebooting and we will verify that services are coming back online.

07:35 All services are now back online. We apologise for any inconvenience that this disruption has caused. Thank you very much for your patience.

Scheduled Maintenance on London Network

Technicians will be taking one of our network switches offline for roughly 10 minutes tonight to perform essential maintenance to a network switch. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause but it is necessary as we expand our network.

Maintenance Notice – cpanel3 Server, Dublin (Clonslaugh), Ireland Datacentre
The ‘cpanel3′ web server will be under-going a disk drive upgrade.

Maintenance Window : Monday 25th October from 17:00 to 17:15 local time

Time Zones:  5.00pm to 5.15m local (Irish time)

Reason: We must relocate this disk drive to a different hypervisor on our cloud network. This requires that the server is shutdown briefly while the disk drive is moved. We apologise for any inconvenience. We will do our utmost to keep downtime to a minimum.

We are aware that this server has stopped responding. Our technicians are investigating urgently.

12:03 This server has stopped responding and we have rebooted it.

12:06 We are monitoring the server startup. The previous uptime was 42 days.

12:13 All services are now back online. We apologise for any inconvenience that this disruption has caused.

Update: This problem was caused by a sudden very large surge in incoming network traffic. We’re working with our datacentre to investigate this and prevent it re-occuring.
