Maintenance Notice – Chicago, USA Datacenter
Our Chicago datacenter will be updating their network routing policies in order to streamline routing policies and ensure the best connectivity. This will effect all services from our Chicago datacenter, including ns3 (our 3rd nameserver).

Maintenance Window : June 24th 2010 from 11:00pm to 01:00am.

There is a two hour maintenance window but we expect the impact on server connectivity to be absolutely minimal consisting of only a few very brief interruptions while network traffic is re-routed across our different connectivity providers.

Reason: We must install additional hard drives on this server. This requires moving the server to a bigger case which will take longer than a normal hard drive install.

Maintenance Notice – Dublin Datacentre
Technicians will be taking down our primary Cisco router for roughly 5 minutes to do a memory upgrade. All traffic will be routed through our secondary router but there will be a short downtime while the BGP routing switches to the secondary router and back.

The upgrade will fix a bug which has been causing some route flapping and intermittent packet loss.

Maintenance Window : 26/03/2010 from 00:30 to 00:40.

Reason: We must upgrade the memory in this router.

Technicians will be taking down our main Cisco router tonight for roughly 10 minutes to do an upgrade. All services in our Dublin datacentre will be affected.

Reason: We must upgrade the IOS and install two new ethernet cards in this router.

Maintenance Notice – Domain Registration Systems
One of our domain registrars OpenSRS will be doing maintenance on their network switches.

Maintenance Window : 29/11/2009 from 04:00 to 07:00.

There is a three hour maintenance window, but service is expected to be unavailable for less than an hour. During this period we will be unable to process some domain name orders, renewals and transfers, and other management changes such as nameservers updates, whois updates etc.. You may encounter an error ‘Could not connect to Server – Please try again later‘ when trying to make changes to some domains through our Client Area.
